Your Brother Said Hello

Yesterday, I took a picture of your brother raking leaves. It was on the same spot where I took a picture of you six years ago. Same tree, same time of the evening. Maybe the clouds were different. I did not think about it till in my dark room, the magic of capturing time happened again in the developing tray.
Then, under the red light, I saw you. Not only same tree, same spot, but same body language, same dimple on his cheek, same look that says “I am a happy kid, no matter what”.
You see, my love, it is autumn and the leaves dance that dance again, full of color. Yet, I still take black & white photos. I think dimples look better in photos capturing shades. Especially when you come through, in your brother’s smile.
I thought you would have liked to know that.
